Memorable Milestones in My Journey
2014 – The Early Days of Entrepreneurship
I still remember those days fresh out of university — working non-stop from early morning until 1–2 AM. I barely slept, but my mind was constantly fueled by fire and focus.
I’m not exactly sure what drove me to work that way — maybe it was the excitement of new things, the curiosity pushing me to run faster, or the childhood ambition that kept whispering I needed to earn big.
That year, I set a goal to make 100 million VND, and by the end of the year, I achieved it.
But before hitting that milestone, I went through months of frustration, headaches, and endless problem-solving.
Thankfully, I pushed through — and it paid off.
2015 – 2017 – The First Big Break
This was the period when I started earning a significant amount of money — truly the first big hit of my career.
I was running business operations in Vietnam while making money internationally through MMO activities like Print-on-Demand (POD) and Drop Shipping.
At that time, I was still a solo player — carrying everything on my own shoulders.
Self-learning, hands-on execution, and constant testing allowed me to build both a broad and deep knowledge base across many areas.
2018 – Lost Everything & Started Over from Zero
The crypto market boomed — then crashed. And as you can guess, I lost everything I had accumulated over the years and found myself back at zero.
Losing all my money was an overwhelming shock, especially for someone young like me.
After a period of feeling broken and defeated, I made the decision to join a company and start over.
August 2018 – Starting Over at Vela (Now VLG Holding, HCM)
In August 2018, I applied for a job and was accepted at Vela (now VLG Holding, based in Ho Chi Minh City).
During the interview, I believe CEO Mr. Hiếu was impressed by my confidence — especially when I said:
"If I don’t deliver results, I won’t take a salary."
That moment marked a bold restart in my career.
At That Time – The Team Was Small, But the Vision Was Big
Back then, the international business team — specifically for the Philippines market — had only about 5–6 members. Later, it grew to a scale of over 200 people.
Through constant experimentation with various online sales strategies, I found success using ManyChat for chatbot automation. The results were impressive.
That success inspired me to launch my course:

After a year of working at the company, I had proven my capabilities within the team — but there weren’t many breakthroughs. The business in the Philippines was still slow and fragile.
At one point, I was so discouraged that I submitted my resignation.
But thanks to the support and encouragement from my teammates, I decided to stay — and embark on a new, more challenging journey within the company.
July 2019 – A Turning Point & A New Challenge
In July 2019, I transitioned into a new role — partnering with the company and investing the last of my savings into a new venture.
At that time, I had exactly 200 million VND left. But ironically, within just two months (August–September 2019), I lost nearly all of it. If things didn’t improve by the end of October, I would no longer have the funds to continue operating.
Facing immense financial pressure, I spent many sleepless nights searching for solutions. And then — the breakthrough came.
I remember one Saturday near the end of October 2019. I was working with a teammate at a café near Landmark 81. By 10 AM, we had generated 9 leads and closed 7 sales.
I was completely blown away. The conversion rate was incredible — far higher than the usual 40% from our telesales calls.
From that moment on, a new chapter began — not just for the company, but for my entire career.
2020 – 2021 – The Second Big Break
On March 3, 2020, I launched a new course:
“LadiPage + Facebook Ads + Chatbot”
This course helped many entrepreneurs succeed in their businesses. While tools may have evolved since then, the strategies and methodologies taught remain highly relevant.
In fact, it’s still being used as an internal training resource by several companies with over 100 employees.
During this period, I earned even more than my first big break (2x), and the combination of knowledge, experience, and real-world execution gave me a new level of confidence.
Looking back, I’m quietly grateful for the collapse of 2018.
That failure knocked me down — but it also made me stronger.
Because what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.
2022 – 2023 – Challenge or Opportunity?
Business became more difficult, and competition grew increasingly fierce.
Online purchases via Facebook started to decline, while platforms like Shopee and TikTok rose to dominance. Operating a business during this transitional time was a real challenge for the entire team.
My team, now over 30 members, faced a series of obstacles in finding new paths for growth.
Managing people, data, and processes became a daily mental workout — something that constantly pushed me to think harder and act smarter.
2024 – Expansion & Restructuring
In 2024, I expanded the business into Malaysia and Vietnam, bringing the total to three markets: Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
However, trying to scale all three countries simultaneously overwhelmed the team.
Eventually, I made the decision to pause operations in Malaysia and Vietnam to refocus on optimizing the Philippines market — and we’ve since returned to profitability.

Lessons After 11+ Years
Business can be a real headache, right, friends?
There are just too many problems that constantly need solving.
But every time we crack a problem, we come out stronger and smarter.
It’s those exact challenges that shape the people we become — and forge the foundations of future success.
After two failures and two breakthroughs, I’ve realized that one of the most valuable lessons can be summed up in just two words:
"PERSEVERANCE"
That’s what keeps you going — no matter what.
If you’re reading these words right now, maybe you’re feeling the same emotions I felt.
